Dormosedan Gel (detomidine hydrochloride) is an effective way to administer a mild, standing sedative so you can perform certain routine (nonpainful) procedures. Dormosedan Gel has not been shown to provide analgesia and should not be used for painful procedures. Gloves must be worn when handling and administering this product. Dormosedan Gel can only be administered under your horse’s tongue to be effective. Follow dosing chart on package; one syringe contains enough medication to dose a horse weighing up to 1320 lbs of body weight.

Sedivet (romlfidine hydrochloride) is a sedative and analgesic to facilitate handling, clinical examinations, clinical procedures, and minor surgical procedures in adult horses. Also indicated as a preanesthetic prior to the induction of general anesthesia in adult horses.
